The Wholistic Coaching Coalition hosted the "Spring into Wellness" retreat on March 20th at ThorpeWood in Thurmont, MD. Women who attended enjoyed hearing quality speakers and had opportunities for massage, yoga, acupuncture, reiki and postural assessments. On this first day of spring we had plenty of warm sunshine and women were able to be outdoors and walk in the woods surrounding ThorpeWood. We enjoyed delicious, healthy meals provided by Canapes Catering and relaxed in the warm, comfortable surroundings ThorpeWood provided.
"Attending the Wholistic Woman's Retreat at ThorpeWood on March 20th surpassed all my expectations. The excellent location, skilled friendly staff and beautiful weather melded together to provide an unforgettable experience. The day provided relaxation, introspection, lessons and the opportunity to meet like minded women. I came away feeling refreshed and empowered and look forward to the fall retreat."

The event was so well organized, the facilitators, volunteers and staff so welcoming, that I couldn't help but feel at ease exploring some pretty personal topics. The session Lisa hosted on personal values helped me get to the core of some of my behaviors (and outcomes). I have used the thought process and self-assessment she taught to "test" situations that have come up in the past few days.
The mark of a good seminar is how it changes your thoughts and actions in the days and weeks that follow it. I suspect the ideas and feelings uncovered at Wholistic Women’s Retreat will be a part of my life for a long time.

The Wholistic Women's retreat was refreshing and energizing. It was a gentle invitation to ease into Spring with the fresh breath of feminine creativity, strength and beauty. I am already looking forward to the next event!

My experience at the wholistic woman's retreat was positive and enlightening. It gave me a rare opportunity to pause and reflect on what matters most in my life in a safe and supportive environment with other women from all walks of life. The team of coaches who facilitated the retreat were simultaneously professional and personal, humorous and genuine, and knowledgeable and non-judgemental. During the sessions I attended, we were encouraged to reflect on where we have been on our life’s journey, to raise our awareness of what matters most, and to dream of where we might like to go or to be. Throughout the day I became aware of the wealth of resources within me and around me; recognizing and being a part of my own inner circle of support. The day was truly wholistic because it allowed me to take time to also explore physical care in the forms of massage and reiki; and spiritual care with a guided meditation, some reflective journaling, and a solitude walk in a beautiful outdoor setting. The brief social gathering at the end of the day gave us a chance to share some of what we experienced in our sessions and to just be with one another. Although I felt both peaceful and challenged at the conclusion of the retreat, I departed feeling that I had been given some necessary tools and encouragement to be able to set goals and continue to grow.
